F2 Tasks/Activities for home learning

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone is ok and staying safe.

I thought it might be useful to provide you with some useful websites to keep your children busy for those who are having to remain at home.

Websites for all curriculum areas:

Activities:

Science and Geography

Growing and New Life (plants and animals)

Ideas: observational drawings of plants and labelling, lists of signs of spring, planting seeds and monitoring their growth, life cycles(butterflies, frogs, chicken, oak tree etc)

Maths

Addition and subtraction -online games on the BBC website and Topmarks

Children will need to read books from home. School reading books will no longer be sent home. Regular practise is encouraged. The following book ideas might be useful and link to the class topic:

Oxford Reading Tree provide free books online (web address above).

Phonics Play- revision of Phase 2 and 3 phonics.

Art

Georgia O’Keeffe-study of the artist and drawings of flowers.

RE

The BBC website has interesting videos on fossils as does the National Geographic website for kids.

Please email any work you would like me to look at. My email address is: nicola.wild@wal.bcwcat.co.uk
