ST WALBURGA'S PARENTS AND FRIENDS ASSOCIATION

The school is very fortunate to have a thriving PFA, which provides a link between home and school.  All parents, who are automatically members of 'The Parents and Friends Association' are invited to attend meetings or to help out at events throughout the year.  Everyone is kept informed through regular newsletters about events and funds raised even if they can't attend the meetings.  The organisers are anxious to involve as many parents as possible in their ventures.  All monies raised by the PFA is given to the school annually and in the past this money has been spent on new library resources, playground equipment and audio equipment to be used for school productions.

Please let us have your thoughts and views of how we can all work together for the benefit of the children.

New KS2 playground

We would like to thank our PFA for all their hard work and organisation as, without them, the KS2 playground equipment would be not be possible. They have been involved from the outset of the project with meeting different companies and creating different designs. However, even before that, they were applying for grants and organising fundraisers. Thank you to all concerned!

We would also like to extend our thanks to all our parents, family and friends in the community as without your support, at the various fundraisers across the years, this would not have been possible.

We are enjoying seeing our KS2 children challenge themselves and build resilience on the equipment and know that it will continue to serve this purpose for many years to come. They enjoyed risk assessing and attending the health and safety briefs so they know how to use everything safely.

Enjoy watching the film of the opening ceremony - thanks to Mrs Mowlam for filming it for us so that we can share it with the whole community.
